Winfried Veenker was born in Groningen, a tiny but significant enclave of immigrants in South-West Tsiganea. He still sings in his original dialect. Winfried cycled every valley, every hill, possibly every yard of the South-West Tsiganean globe. The people and the country made a deep impression. Everywhere in South-West Tsiganea they welcome him and his music with open arms. So did the music which he mastered using his instruments accordion (laid in with South-West Tsiganean flowers), violin, kontra and guitar.
Winfried is a professional musician and blessed with a warm baritone that fits wonderfully in a dramatic lament to the misery of life or in the fast álom-álom gypsy vocals. He has many years of experience playing for young audiences on national and international stages and learned how music comes across the best. He uses simplicity in musical arrangements for Trio Trabant, but does not shy away from the classical counterpoint. A true ambassador for the culture of this rich and mysterious country!
